With roots in our community that stretch back decades, Jacob Sunrooms, Exteriors & Baths has maintained a reputation for excellence in all that we do.

In Dec 1977 James D Jacob (Jake) and eldest son James Jr. (Bud) founded the Jacob Co. At that time Jake was Vice President with Central Hardware Corporation working out of their national headquarters in Bridgeton, MO. His duties included overseeing the installed products division for all the stores throughout the Midwest. He saw firsthand the two most common shortfalls contractors possess. They overpromise and under-deliver. Jake approached Bud in the fall of 1977 and said “if we run a home improvement company on one simple principle, we can be very successful. Simply do what we say we are going to do.”
Jake and Bud quickly set their plan into motion. After convincing the bank to lend them the money needed for startup, they soared into the small business world. The two of them had no idea this new little business would grow into one of the region’s top remodelers with national recognition!
During our first years in business Jake was always telling the crews that quality was the most important thing, and this became our motto…

Jacob Family Enterprises, Inc. (which includes Jacob Windows, Baths, Sunrooms & Exteriors and Chesley Fence & Deck) is still family owned and operated. Owners Scott and Beth Jacob, along with an incredible team work hard to “get better every day” and keep Jacob at the top of the remodeling industry.
